Medicare Advantage, Medigap & Part D Guidance

Compare Medicare Advantage, Part D, and Medicare Supplement coverage based on your providers, prescriptions, costs, and annual plan changes.

Medicare decisions involve more than a plan name. Premiums, networks, prescriptions, deductibles, copays, maximum out-of-pocket limits, and extra benefits all interact. Annual changes can also affect whether last year’s plan still fits this year.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

Private plans that include Part A and Part B benefits (and often Part D). Network rules, out-of-pocket limits, and extras such as dental, vision, or fitness vary by plan and carrier.

Medicare Part D

Prescription drug coverage - standalone or included in many Advantage plans. Formularies, tiers, preferred pharmacies, and mail-order options can change yearly.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Plans that help pay some costs Original Medicare does not cover. Standardized plans are available in most states; switching rules depend on your situation.

What we look at together

  • Provider networks and doctors you want to keep
  • Prescription formularies and pharmacy preferences
  • Premiums, deductibles, copays, and maximum out-of-pocket
  • Extra benefits (dental, vision, hearing, OTC, fitness, transportation) where relevant
  • Annual Notice of Change and year-to-year plan updates
  • Enrollment periods (Initial, AEP, OEP, Special Enrollment) as they apply to you

What to have handy

  • Current coverage information (plan name or type, if known)
  • Doctors, specialists, and preferred hospitals
  • List of regular prescriptions
  • Preferred pharmacy
  • Your Annual Notice of Change, if received
  • What matters most (keeping doctors, drug costs, premium, extras)
