Medicare

Compare Medicare Advantage with Original Medicare, a Medicare Supplement, and Part D. Review provider access, prescription coverage, and total costs.

Path A

Original Medicare + Supplement + Part D

  • Original Medicare (Parts A & B)
  • A Medigap policy to help with out-of-pocket costs
  • A standalone Part D plan for prescriptions

Consider this option if broad access to providers who accept Medicare is a priority.

Path B

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

  • An all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare
  • Usually includes prescription coverage
  • Often uses a defined network and extra benefits

Networks, prior authorization, and extra benefits vary by plan and county.

Either path

What gets compared

  • Your doctors and hospitals
  • Your prescriptions and pharmacies
  • Premiums, copays, and maximum out-of-pocket
  • Travel, specialists, and how you prefer to use care

Each comparison reflects your doctors, prescriptions, budget, and coverage priorities.
